The 1st generation retrograde (or first retrograde) is a classification of ancestors in Cometanic ancestry denoting the generation of Cometan's parents, Louise J. Counsell and Sean Frederick Taylor, his stepparents, aunts and uncles, and 1st cousins 1x removed. It preceded the Cometanic generation and succeeded the 2nd generation retrograde.
