The 2nd generation retrograde (or second retrograde) is a classification of ancestors in Cometanic ancestry denoting the generation of Cometan's grandparents as well as his great-aunts and great-uncles. It preceded the 1st generation retrograde and succeeded the 3rd generation retrograde.
