The 8th generation retrograde (or eighth retrograde) is a classification of ancestors in Cometanic ancestry denoting the generation of Cometan's 6th great-grandparents and their siblings. It preceded the 7th generation retrograde and succeeded the 9th generation retrograde.
The eighth retrograde represents the earlier retrograde for the Turner family line in Cometan's maternal-maternal ancestry. This means that no members of the Turner family line are currently verifiable known before the eighth generation retrograde.
