Alexander Porter (c. 1585 – April 20, 1636) was the 11th great-grandfather of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Prescott family line. Born in Lancaster in Lancashire, Alexander is recorded as having been the father of Henry Porter and his spouse was named Elizabeth Jackson. He and his wife Elizabeth are two of the earliest known Cometanic ancestors in the Prescott family line. Alexander is recorded as having died at the age of fifty-one.
