Alice Margret Maria Charnley (née Crosse; 1655 – September 1727) was the 9th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Warbrick family line. Born in Woodplumpton in Lancashire, Alice was married to Roger Charnley (1650 – 1727) on 14th September 1689 and Alice gave birth to at least one daughter named Mary (1681 – 1739). The identity of Alice’s parents remain unknown although it is recorded that she died in Lytham at the age of seventy-two and was buried on 25th September 1727.
In Cometanic ancestry, Alice is classified as part of the 11th generation retrograde, categorising her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
