Argumentation is the set of practices, techniques, methods, and approaches involved with what can be described as "correct conduct" of philosophical debates.

Considered as an art form by Cometan and something that each philosopher is expected to master and to develop their own approaches to as a central part of their philosophership, argumentation is a principal aspect of Astronic metaphilosophy.

Provided with its own discipline of study known as argumentology, the serious contemplation and development of philosophies and techniques for argumentation hold their origins in the Omnidoxy and have subsequently played a significant part in the overall identity of Astronist philosophy.
