Astronism in Hong Kong refers to the presence of the Astronist philosophy and religion in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The operations of the Astronist Institution in this territory are under jurisdiction of the Astronist Superiate of Hong Kong which is currently under partial jurisdiction of the exiled Astronist Superiate of China, a national subsidiary of the worldwide Astronist Institution.
As of 2020, the number of Astronists living in Hong Kong had rising to approximately 12,000, up from the 7,000 Astronists reported in 2019 by the Institution. Astronism is popularly marketed to the general public as Astrofaith, or simply as Astro under various different brands including AstroFaith and AstroChurch.
The Astronist Superiate of Hong Kong oversees the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction. Hong Kong is split into eighteen administrative districts and is set to hold one Grand Observatory, which will also be the only Astronist observatory in Hong Kong.
This national branch of the Astronist Institution manages the official representation and depiction of Astronism throughout this territory, including efforts to protect the identity of the philosophy with the intention of further disseminating it throughout the territory.
It is the Institution alone that is granted the status of proprietor to the philosophy in this territory as any other organisations or institutions proclaiming such a role are deemed as unauthorised proprietors and are therefore considered as part of the anti-Institutionist movement.
