Astronism in New Caledonia refers to the presence of the Astronist philosophy and religion in the Special Collectivity of New Caledonia. The operations of the Astronist Institution in this territory are under jurisdiction of the Astronist Superiate of New Caledonia which is itself under the direct jurisdiction of the Astronist Superiate of France, also called the French Superiate, a national subsidiary of the worldwide Astronist Institution.
The Astronist Superiate of New Caledonia oversees the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction. New Caledonia is split into thirty-three municipalities and is set to hold one Grand Observatory in the capital city of Noumea, which will be one of only two observatories in the special collectivity.
This national branch of the Astronist Institution manages the official representation and depiction of Astronism throughout this territory, including efforts to protect the identity of the philosophy with the intention of further disseminating it throughout the territory.
It is the Institution alone that is granted the status of proprietor to the philosophy in this territory as any other organisations or institutions proclaiming such a role are deemed as unauthorised proprietors and are therefore considered as part of the anti-Institutionist movement.
