History of Astronism in the Dominican Republic[]
Astronism is not currently recognised by the government in the Dominican Republic, however, the Astronist Institution has designated the situation as apathetic in its 2020 Astronist Freedom report. This is because there are few concerns regarding the religious freedoms of Astronists in the country.
As of November 2020, the Astronist Institution estimated that there were 1,454 Astronists in the Dominican Republic. The lack of accurate translations of Astronist content into Spanish presents a barrier to Dominican Astronists in accessing the full array of materials on Astronism.
