Cecelia Redman (née de Strickland; 1450 – 1495) was the 16th great-grandmother, classified as one of Cometan’s distant paternal ancestors in the McKerney family line. Born in Sizergh Castle, Kendal, Westmoreland, Cecelia was the wife of William Redman (1410 – ????) and was the mother of Richard Redmon (1450 – 1495). Cecelia is thought to have died in Somme, Picardie, France, although this is unverified. Cecelia’s parents were Sir Thomas de Strickland (1369 – 1455) and Lady Mabel de Bethom (1380 – 1460).
In Cometanic ancestry, Cecelia is categorised as part of the 18th generation retrograde, classifying her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
