Dresden Codex

an ancient Astronic specimen dating to the 13th and 14th centuries; a Mayan astronomical text that refers to a now lost original text written some four hundred years prior.

Origin and etymology

  • The Dresden Codex was added to the cohort of Astronic specimen, and therefore part of the Astronic tradition, by Cometan during his initial phase of scholarship on the Astronic tradition in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica.
