Elizabeth Eccles (née Moreton; July 20, 1533 – 1581) was the 14th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant paternal ancestors in the Taylor family line. Elizabeth is registered to have been the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth Moreton and to have given birth to Thomas Eccles in 1561. Elizabeth is recorded to have died at the age of forty-eight in Audley, Staffordshire, but the identity of her spouse remains unknown.
