Elizabeth Neeld (née Hopwood; February 7, 1575 – 1603) was the 13th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant maternal ancestors in the Warbrick family line. Born in Oldham (then part of Lancashire), Elizabeth was the wife of James Neeld (1570 – 1603) and was the mother of James Neild. As she is recorded as having died in 1603 at the age of twenty-eight in the same year as he son James’ birth, it is assumed that she died during childbirth.
In Cometanic ancestry, Elizabeth is classified as part of the 15th generation retrograde, categorising her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
