an archaeoastronological site located at Gorges de l’Ardèche in Ardèche department, France; particularly important to this site is the Pleiades Aurochs specimen found here dating to the Upper Palaeolithic as a form of astromorphism.
Origin and etymology
- In English, the Cave of the Head of the Lion, La-Tête-du-Lion is an important site for the Astronic tradition in France which was featured in Cometan’s Master’s Dissertation exploring the prehistoric origins of the Astronic tradition.
