Margaret Hardacre (née Moorby; December 1760 – January 1827) was the 6th great-grandmother of Cometan, classified as one of Cometan’s distant paternal ancestors in the Hardacre family line. Margaret is recorded as having been born in Giggleswick in Yorkshire and as having been the daughter of Thomas Moorby (1725 – 1803) and Catherine Proctor (1732 – ????). She married Thomas Hardacre (1761 – 1822) and in 1797, gave birth to William Hardacre. She is recorded as having died in Walton-le-Dale at the age of sixty-six, meaning that she and her husband must have moved across to Lancashire at some point during their life.
In Cometanic ancestry, Alice is categorised as part of the 5th generation retrograde, classifying her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
