Margaret Stringfellow (née Hailwood; January 1842 – April 1832) was the 3rd great-grandmother of Cometan and a farmer’s wife, classified as one of Cometan’s distant paternal ancestors in the Stringfellow family line.

Born in Welch Whittle, Margaret was recorded as having been the wife of Edward Stringfellow (1842 – 1926) whom she married on 19th August 1869. She gave birth to at least one child named Alfred Stringfellow who was born in 1880. The details surrounding Margaret’s death remain unknown although her parents are registered as having been William Hailwood (1809 – 1888) and Mary Mosscrop (1811 – 1880). Margaret is recorded as living at Ivy House Farm on Spendman Lane in Coppull. Margaret had several siblings named Esther, Ellen, William, John and two boys called Richard, but both of whom died.

In Cometanic ancestry, Margaret is categorised as part of the 5th generation retrograde, classifying her as a distant ancestor of Cometan.
