Nicholas Cottam (1873 – July 1935) was the maternal great great-grandfather of Cometan born in the city of Preston in Lancashire, England. In 1881, he lived in Fishwick in Preston and he married Mary Eccles in October 1897. His wife passed away in a house fire either in 1910 or the spring of 1911 before April as Nicholas was recorded as widowed by 2nd April 1911.
In Cometanic ancestry, Nicholas is classified as part of the 4th generation retrograde, thus categorising him as an ancestor of Cometan.
