Predenance is a term of post-omnidoxical Cometanic origin that is used to refer to a catasterism, or a constellation myth, that is provided with primacy over the collection of stories and myths associated with a particular constellation.
It is contrasted with subdenance which is all secondary myths and stories associated with a constellation. This tradition was initiated by Cometan and was followed by Astronist scholarship in order to organise subjects with a multitude of myths and stories associated with them.
