In the Astronist philosophy of religion, pseudonism, also referred to as misconflation, pseudoassociation, mischaracterisation, or mislinking, is a post-omnidoxical term of Cometanic origin relating to the mentality involving the false or misinformed association of an entire group with the actions and beliefs of a minority within that group.
Cometan developed the word pseudonism due to the overwhelming regularity of its occurrence in the society in which he lived in, especially during The Founding of Astronism era. Specifically, he developed the word due to occurrence of people claiming Astronism to be a cult due to its relative infancy.
There exists many examples of the pseudonist mentality, some of which include associating all Muslims with Islamist terrorists or associating all Catholic priests with some priests whom have been convicted as pedophiles.
