in Indian mythology, an astronomical myth of the astromorphised planet Rāhu as an ill-fated demon denounced by the Sun and Moon gods for drinking the Amrita drink.
Origin and etymology
- The title Rāhu and Ketu was ascribed to this myth by Cometan as a result of its inclusion into the Astronic tradition towards the end of The Year of Completion.
