Religious semantics, or philosophical semantics, is an area of study organised by Cometan as part of the Astronist philosophy of religion focusing on the importance of meaning in direct relation to religious belief, the differences between beliefs from a semantic perspective, as well as the impacts on semantics on philosophical argumentation.

Design-Evolution-Creation Trichotomy

The trichotomy of Design-Evolution-Creation was the founding concept of Cometan's organisation of what later became known as religious and philosophical semantics. It essentially emphasises the importance of differentiation between the similar meanings associated with design, evolution, and creation in relation to God and worldviews.

Design - created with intent and purpose (with destiny).

Evolution - created by means of adaptation to the environment.

Creation - created without particular intent (without destiny).
