Not to be confused with Cosmism (denomination).

Russian cosmism, also simply known as Cosmism, is a humanic religion and philosophical and cultural movement categorised as part of the Astronic religions by Astronist scholarship that emerged in Russia in the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is considered the precursor to Astronism, which is sometimes ascribed the title Western Cosmism and which is also contrasted with the term Eastern Cosmism, a term denoting Russian cosmism.
