The Standard Astronomical Calendar (abbreviated: SAC), also known as the Astronian calendar, or more colloquially as the Astronist calendar, is the calendar used and disseminated by the Astronist Institution as founded by the philosopher Cometan. It is oriented on the moment of Yuri Gagarin's first entrance into space which occurred on 12th April 1961.
