Synthesism, or the synthesis of Astronism, is the notion that the nature of Astronism as an organised philosophy is a synthesis of philosophy and religion, two antitheses which have been opposed for millennia. It is for this reason that Astronism is ascribed with the appellation of being the Great Synthesis as it is considered to be the first of its kind in this respect.
